The last time Amelia Earhart, and her copilot navigator Fred Noonan, were seen alive was in Lae, New Guinea on their way to the tiny island of Howland Island, 2,556 miles away.

WHAT HAPPENED:
This day in 1947 is the first day of a three day window in which the infamous Roswell Incident is alleged to have happened.
This event is alleged because science doesn't yet acknowledge that UFOs are from other planets because there is no hard evidence to support it... at least not yet anyway.
