WHAT HAPPENED:
Mrs. Reeser, probably the most famous (if not the most written about) spontaneous human combustion case to date, was found today. All that was left was a few bone fragments and a slipper on her almost undamaged foot.

WHAT HAPPENED:
Anneliese Michel, a student at the University of Würzburg, West Germany, died today, several months into the performance of a rite of exorcism. She died of malnutrition and dehydration. At the time she died, she was only 23 years old and weighed only 70 pounds.
