WHAT HAPPENED:
While cutting timber, a man heard what he thought were the sounds of a pig. He searched the woods near where he thought the sounds were coming from when...
"...something made me look up and there about 12 feet in front of me, was this big black hairy man-thing. It looked more like a gorilla than anything. It had huge hands, and one of them was wrapped around a sapling... It had a flat black shiny face, with two big yellow eyes and a hole for a mouth. It just stared at me, and I stared back. I was so numb I couldn't even raise the axe I had in my hand..."
This is considered an ALLEGED event because no real evidence (specifically a living speciman or even a dead body) has been found (at least not yet anyway) proving that Yowies, Yeties, or Sasquatches do exist, at least to pretend skeptics anyway.
They're pretend skeptics because they're more than happy to question the belief of others, but never their own. In other words, they pretend that what they believe is a fact, while everything else is pure fantasy.
I'm of a different mind because I'm a real skeptic, meaning just because I believe something, I still have doubts that my assumptions are always correct. The real facts are that there are so many sightings (thousands and thousands) that I've come to the conclusion that there must be something out there, but pretend skeptics don't believe there is and some will even come up with the excuse that all these people are just hallucinating.
If pretend skeptics want to believe that none of these creatures really exist, that's fine, but don't tell me it's a fact or that they're real skeptics, because they're not.
As a matter of fact, new species have been found every year that were previously thought not to exist or have gone extinct. The ceolacanth and Mountain Gorilla are perfect examples of this, including seven other cryptids, but most pretend skeptics say this doesn't prove a thing, and that's one of the reasons I consider them just pretending to be skeptics rather than being real ones.
I also believe that it's more important for them to protect their fragile egos by never being wrong than it is to actually finding out the truth, but being a real skeptic, I also believe that I may be wrong, and thus, this is all just my opinion and not a fact.
