WHAT HAPPENED:
      Inventor John S. Pemberton registers a patent for Coca-Cola® Syrup & Extract.

In 1888, Pemberton sold the ownership rights to Asa Griggs Candler, a businessman, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the global soft-drink market throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. The name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts (a source of caffeine). The formula of Coca-Cola remains a trade secret.

WHAT HAPPENED:
      In 1971, a blurry photo was taken of the White River monster.

      This event is alleged because science doesn't yet acknowledge that the White River monster is real because there is no hard evidence to support it... at least not yet anyway.

LOCATION:
Junction of East I-74 and South 421, Acton, Indiana USA

WHAT HAPPENED:
      Bob Davidson's shoes were blown off his feet when he was hit by lightning. There were no signs of life when paramedics from the Acton Volunteer Fire Department arrived. All attempts to revive him were failing when, seemingly from nowhere a Lady in Black appeared and started pounding on Bob's chest with a Bible.
      Suddenly, the grey limp body with no pulse started showing signs of life. The Lady in Black then walked away into the night and was never seen or heard from again.
      Two clues (a Bible and black dress on display at the Acton Heritage Museum) are identical to the one described by the paramedics that night.

      This event is alleged because science doesn't yet acknowledge that the Lady in Black was real because there is no hard evidence to support it... at least not yet anyway.
