WHAT HAPPENED:
UFO Temperature Effect
This 1954 UFO sighting in Morocco (AKA the "Casablanca Incident") would have been just one of hundreds of worldwide UFO cases investigated that year if not for one small interesting detail --well, two actually.
Mr. Güitta of Casablanca reported that after spotting a UFO diving down towards him in his rear-view mirror, and after ducking down instinctively, he saw it fly by to the left of his automobile at a very high rate of speed. It was followed by a blast of cold air and a strong suction feeling that, despite his best efforts to control the car, still pulled it to the left and across the middle of the road.
Although a UFO of this type (small, gray and disk shaped) might be an aircraft misidentified as a UFO, the cold blast that followed it is not what usually happens after a plane flies overhead. The blast of cold air and suctioning do fit in with the lowering of atmospheric pressure following in the wake of a fast-moving airborne object.
To quote from one of our source books, Flying Saucers And The Straight-Line Mystery, "Some day this may prove to be a most important piece of information."
Of course as anyone who has been passed by a semi-trailer knows, the wind chill and suctioning that follows it is a little similar, but one of the interesting things about this sighting was that after the craft had passed, and Mr. Güitta had pulled over and gotten out of his car, the air was still chilly.
What's also interesting about this temperature drop, which is also reported during many UFO sightings (like this one), is that they are oddly reminiscent of cold spots that are also reported in haunted settings and other ghostly encounters.
