WHAT HAPPENED:
The Mad Gasser of Mattoon, struck again.

One couple returned home to find a white cloth laying near the front door. The wife picked it up and sniffed it and...

"I had sensations similar to coming in contact with an electric current. The feeling raced down my body to my feet and then seemed to settle in my knees," she explained. "It was a feeling of paralysis."

Soon after her lips swelled and she began vomiting. But what's significant about this encounter is that the first physical evidence of the Gasser, a skeleton key and an empty lipstick tube.
