GREELEY, Colo. -- The search for a missing girl is getting a boost from a Texas-based non-profit that has searched for more than 100 missing children.

Volunteers from the Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children flew into Denver Friday and will be conducting searches for Kayleah Wilson throughout the weekend.

The group is asking anyone over the age of 18, who is interested in searching for Kayleah, to come to Journey Christian Church in Greeley Saturday and Sunday. Organizers said volunteers should bring a state-issued I.D. and leave children and dogs at home. The search will kick off at 9:00 a.m., but organizers will be accepting volunteers throughout the day.

"They'll be looking for any evidence of what she might have been wearing and looking for any possible signs of her having literally been dumped out of a car or something," said Bob Walcutt, the executive director of the Laura Recovery Center.

At a candlelight vigil for Kayleah, the girl's mother, April Wilson, thanked the community for their support and said she is hanging on to hope that her daughter is safe.

"So many people do love her and care about her and they want her home," said Wilson.

Walcutt said even those in the area who cannot search, can help by searching their own property for any sign of Kayleah.

"Ranchers, people that have property and such in the area, check your land," he said.

The Laura Recovery Center was established after the disappearance of Laura Smither, a 12-year-old who vanished in 1997 while jogging. She was later found strangled. The organization has searched for more than 100 missing children. 30 percent of the children have been recovered.
