WHAT HAPPENED:
Anneliese Michel, a University of Würzburg student, located in (what was then known as West) Germany, died today. She was several months into the performance of a rite of exorcism.

Cause of death was malnutrition and dehydration. At the time of her death, she was only 23 years old and weighed only 70 pounds.
