Alamosa, CO   USA

WHAT HAPPENED:
One of the earliest indidents of amimal mutilations linked tentatively with the UFO phenomenon involved a colt discovered dead near Alamosa, Colorado. Allegedly, all the flesh had been removed from the animal's head, and the brain, spine, heart, lungs and thyroid gland were absent. No evidence of blood or tire tracks could be found near the body, but a set of 15 circular marks were reportedly found on the ground some 40 feet away from the corpse.
