LOCATION:
Fort Hood, TX   USA

WHAT HAPPENED:
On the third day of a UFO sighting wave centered in the Fort Hood area, Army infantrymen, in two separate locations (a half mile apart), reported seeing two different light displays in the sky this night in 1949.

At the time of the sighting, Fort Hood was known as Camp Hood.
