LOCATION:
Singapore

WHAT HAPPENED:
After an earthquake struck Singapore on February 16th, torrential rains fell from February 20th to the 22nd (today).

Francis de Castelnau, a respected traveler and naturalist, then living in Singapore, gave an account of villagers picking up loads of fish with baskets from the pools of water left by the rain. He also told of looking into the pools of water three days later, after they had dried up, and finding dead fish in them.
