LOCATION:
Alençon, France

WHAT HAPPENED:
Early in the morning, in the year 1790, an incident occurred near Alençon, France which was eerily similar to many modern UFO reports.

Farmers in the area reported seeing a huge globe that flew over their heads with a whistling sound, like it was traveling at high speed. It decelerated and settled on a nearby hilltop, but was so hot that the trees and grass around it began to burn.

By evening, as the area residents finally managed to get the fire under control, a door opened, a humanoid appeared, said a few words, which no one understood, and then fled into the woods. Soon after that, the globe exploded.

No trace of the humanoid has ever been found.
