INTRODUCTION: James Winkles

Is Winkles a serial killer who killed at least 26 people, or is most of his confession during an interview with Marcia Crawley (in November of 1998) a lie?

On the one hand, authorities seem to think he DID kill the two Pinella women, but even though he was a suspect at the time, they had no real evidence to arrest him (never mind convict) until later when he confessed to their murders. His confession (earlier in 1998) to authorities was the main evidence used against him.

On the other hand though, the rest of his interviewed confession with Marcia Crawley (in November of 1998) is considered a fabrication by the authorities, BECAUSE they aren't even sure the folks he talks about really ever existed.
