1956---AUG-31: I was born at the Providence Lying-In Hospital, Providence,
RI (now known as Woman and Infants of Providence, RI). My
parents had just moved to Moosup, CT but were still registered
in Providence so when my Mom went into labor, she and Dad
had to take a taxi twenty plus miles back to RI, and the
only thing she really remembered was hearing Elvis Presley's
"Hound Dog" (which was the number one song back then)
playing on the radio.
1957---DEC-20: Linda, my sister, was born.
I got double-bronchial pnuemonia and almost died.
1958---2nd Birthday.
1959---3rd Birthday.

1960---MAR-13: Donna, my sister, was born.
Mom and Dad separate.
Moved in with Memere and Pepere on Dad's side at
37 Community Avenue; Plainfield, CT. Shared a room
with my Dad. Our telephone number was (203) 564-5700
or LOGan-5700.
1961---5th Birthday.
1962---First Grade (started)
St. John Grammar School on Railroad Avenue; Plainfield,
CT --a Roman Catholic (parochial) School.
1963---Repeated First Grade (Sister Aurelli was my teacher)
Finally learned how to read. Had problems with many words
some of which were, "there, their, and they're."
1964---Ended First Grade.
Second Grade (started).
Learned how to write.
1965---Ended Second Grade.
Third Grade (started).
The "Wild Wild West" TV show begins. I get all caught up
in the premise of the show.
1966---Ended Third Grade.
Fourth Grade (started).
Was sent home early when I threw a pencil TO the teacher. She
thought I had thrown it AT her.
1967---Ended Fourth Grade.
Fifth Grade (started).
1968---Ended Fifth Grade.
Sixth Grade (started).
Weekly Monday Radcliffe Inn on Route 12 in Plainfield,
CT with Mom.
1969---Ended Sixth Grade.
Seventh Grade (started).
Fell in love with Darlene St. Jean who lived at 43
Community Avenue; Plainfield, CT. She was the first
girl I ever kissed. We were rolling down a hill on
the Cowboy Trail in a big corrugated box and I told
her about a dream I had where I kissed her. We decided
to kiss to see how it felt.
Ten Foot was a lake I went to with my friends and caught
frog's eggs and tadpoles to see how they developed
into frogs.
Learned about the urban legend of Red Eye.
Trip with Dad and my two sisters, Linda and Donna, to
Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon and Disneyland.
Landing on the Moon and Charles Manson.
The "Wild Wild West" TV show ends.

1970---Ended Seventh Grade.
The local haunted house burned to the ground.
Caught shoplifting at a drugstore in downtown Plainfield,
CT.
Dad took us on a trip to Rapid City, SD to see the
Devil's Tower and Mount Rushmore.
Eighth Grade (started).
Fell in love with Donna Rizer.
Won first prize at a Science Fair along with Tim Caroll,
Robert Koch, and Michael Fournier. Our subject was the
Apollo 13 moon mission.
The infamous Christmas party at Mom's house. We went to a
supposed haunted house with Fred Sargent.
1971---Went on a class trip to Riverside, a local amusement
Park.
Graduated Eighth grade.
Moved in with Dad and his girlfriend.
Began High School at St Bernards High School located in
Montville, CT.
1972---Dad buys a house at 1 Blueberry Lane; Wauregan, CT
(1972: Pop. +700), and we move there in February.
1973---Fell in love with Michelle Channel.
First time I drank alcohol at a barn not to far from our
house.
My first date was with Michelle to see "Jesus Christ Superstar",
the Movie.
NOV-06: Quit High School to Join the Air Force and begin basic
training at Lackland AFB located outside San Antonio, TX.
Went home (to Connecticut) for Christmas, for two weeks.
1974---Stationed at Keesler AFB located just outside Biloxi,
Mississippi to learn ECM (Electronic
CounterMeasure) electronics.
Meet Steven Hill and Benjie.
Fall in love with Benjie.
Spend a party night with one of my tech teachers at Keesler AFB.
Spend a weekend at a friends in Alabama.
While moving from Keesler AFB to Davis Monthan AFB located near Tucson, AZ
I spend a vacation at a friends near Sumter, SC
Steven Hill.
1975---Stationed at Davis Monthan AFB located near Tucson, AZ.
Start reading Erle Stanley Gardner's "Perry Mason" series.
That's when I decide I wanted to become a lawyer --never did
though.
Busted for Pot.
1976---Busted for pot for the second time, not too long after the
first time.
Get my driver's license.
Took a 45 day vacation from the Air Force and drove cross
country to take that vacation in Rhode Island and
Connecticut.
NOV-05: Honorably discharged from the Air Force.
Moved to a trailer on N. Stone Avenue in Tucson, AZ.
Worked at a Deli doing deliveries.
1977---Started living in my car.
First time ever donated plasma.
Sold Collier Encyclopedias door to door.
Went to Seattle to sell encyclopedias door to door for
Collier. That's when I decided that one day I was
going to move to Seattle, WA.
Hitchiked back to Tucson, Az.
Moved in with Elizabeth Weiss (on N. Campbell Avenue
Tucson, AZ) whom I fell in my love with.
Ended up living on the street.
1978---One night while drinking pitchers of Margaritas and
watching a Humphrey Bogart movie (The Maltese Falcon), I
decided to hitchike cross country back to Rhode Island.
Moved to Central Falls, RI and moved in with my sister and
her boyfriend Bob Stevens in an apartment house on
the corner of Summer and Dexter.
1979---Fell in love with Laura Lane and moved in with her and
her best friend Diane Beauchamp.

1980---Discover and start reading Leslie Charteris's 1928 novel
"Meet the Tiger" which was the first story featuring the
"Saint (Simon Templar)", which also got me thinking about
becoming a gentleman adventurer (slash) criminal too and
having my own adventures, which is why I decided to hitchike
to New Orleans, LA --with my first stop being Boston, MA.
Someday, I need to explain what it feels like to just get up and
hitchike out of town. I was on the run. It's the most
exciting thing I've ever done. I was on my way to New
Hampshire to do some gold prospecting. I stopped off
in Boston and was entranced with the history of the city.
Joined the Moonies (Unification Church). Lived on Beacon
Street in a building once owned (or so they told me) by
F.W. Woolworth (founder of the F.W. Woolworth Co.), located
in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, across the street from the
Boston Common.
1981---Left the Moonies and hitchiked to Savannah, GA; then
Miami, then New Orleans, where I saw Mardi Gras.
Took a bus out to Morgan City and joined a Roustabout Co.
to work for a piping company that supplied pipes for the
oil rigs offshore, then took a bus back to Connecticut.
1982---Moved in with my sister Donna in Danielson, CT.
First started writing the "Amy Strange and the CRiMiNAL"
story.
Also lived on the street in Danielson, CT.
Moved into a rooming house in the back of the Danielson
Inn --right next door to Wayne Epstein an old friend
of mine from my days living with my grandparents at
37 Community Avenue; Plainfield, CT. in the 1960s.
Wayne lived two doors down the street.
1983---Met Bert (Alberta Rivers) Galton.
Fell in love with Cheryl Galton.
1984---Was best man a Wayne Epstein and Bert's wedding.
Moved into Bert's house.
Started working with Hokan Andre at Andre Manufacturing;
Danielson, CT.
1985---Started living across the river in Brooklyn, CT
with a good friend Harold, and then, in my own
apartment.
I buy a Mercury Comet from my sister Donna.
1986---JUN-06: Graduated from QVCC with an AA (Associate of Arts)
Degree.
OCT-31: Bert dies in a car accident on Halloween Night. I was
taking care of her daughter that night.
I sleep at Bert's grave until I crash my car and almost kill
myself. I get arrested that night for drunken driving.
I scream at the police that I wished I killed myself as I
pound on the policeman's car with my fist.
I move in with Harold again and go on a wild party night
with Gary Gravel who smashes Harold's car on the way
back home. I take the blame and get kicked out of
Harold's house because Gary didn't have the guts to
take the blame, and then into my own apartment also
in Brooklyn, CT.
I vote (a write in) for Geraldine Ferraro for President and
Tippy (Harold's dog) for VP of the country.
Believe me, I was thankful when 1986 was over.
1987---Started living behind the Danielson Inn again.
1988---Start working at the Danielson Inn.
SEP-22: Quit smoking.
1989---MAR-01: Quit drinking.
Pepere dies.
The apartment house I lived in burned down and two people
died --on Christmas Eve.

1990---Moved to Kent Street.
1991---First thought up the talking cat storyline for "Amy
Strange and the CRiMiNAL" and used it as an
advertising stunt for "Adventure Forth" --my graphic
design business.
Got a job designing a logo and building a sign for a
start-up business "Waves" --a hairdressing salon
located next to the Post Office in downtown
Plainfield, CT.
Volunteered for a research project in Grand Forks, ND.
Moved to Seattle, WA on Christmas Eve.
Lived in a Hostel on Union Street and Post Alley.
1992---JAN-08: Started working at Rothbaum and Son Legal Copy.
Moved to Marvin Gardens at Bell and 3rd, Seattle.
Started working at the Kingdome.
1993---Went camping with Ben Embree in Central Washington near
the Coulee Dam.
Fell in love with Amy Ellis.
Started drinking again.
DEC-31: Moved out of Marvin Gardens.
1994---FEB-14: AmyStrange decides to move in with me.
1995---JUL-31: Moved to Alki Beach.
Discovered the answer to DIVISION BY ZERO
Mariners come from 13 games behind to play California a
one game playoff to see who comes in first and
eventually became the only team New York hasn't been
able to beat in a playoff series (until the 2000
season).
1996---First came up with the "Amy Strange and the CRiMiNAL"
title and published the first chapter, part one, of
this story.
First exposed to the internet while taking classes at
Seattle Community College --the Central Branch.
