Brownsville, TX   USA

WHAT HAPPENED:
Another sighting of a horrible-looking bird that some researchers believe was the same one sighted six days earlier on January 1, 1976 in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Alverico Guajardo, who saw it in the nearby Brownsville area, was eating dinner at about 8:30 that night, when something hit the side of his trailer with a loud solid thud like something bigger than a small bird had hit it. Fearing for his family's safety, he grabbed a knife and ventured outside to see what it was.

what he first saw was only a silhouette of a large animal lying on the ground. Since he didn't have a flashlight in hand, he turned the headlights on his truck so he could see it better. This caused the thing to rise, which gave Alverico a better look at it.

He described it as being brown, winged, and about four-feet tall. He also added,

"I was scared. It's got wings like a bird, but it's not a bird. That animal is not from this world."
